This week’s meditation is a quickie: just 10 minutes.
Before you try it out, we have to talk briefly about the concept of grounding yourself. Put really simply, being grounded means you are living firmly in the moment. Easy enough, right?
If you’re anything like me when I started my meditation practice, I was the farthest thing from grounded. I frequently misplaced things, I was always trying to multitask, I never felt completely rested, I often felt overstimulated from stress, and overall really drained by my life.
While there are many-a-things that can be done to go about remedying an ungrounded life, meditation is probably the easiest to implement right away. I’ve found that using earth element meditations have a profound and immediate effect.
This practice can be used anytime, especially before a lengthy meditation. I also loved using this at work, taking 10 minutes out of my day to ground myself. It did wonders for my stress level and productivity.
